Southern Blessings

This amazing couple was recently married at the Prattville Church of Christ, and I was honored to be asked to photograph all the festivities for them.   It was a bright and beautiful day, and they agreed to stop at the Creek Walk following the reception for some quick photos before they headed out for their honeymoon.  Just posting a sneak peak here while I finish editing all the others.

Southern Studio

Had fun last evening practicing some background lighting, but we're considering live models in the future.  Cindy is a quiet, sweet little thing and very cooperative, so it's a tough call. . .

Southern Sweetness

Ten days old and already a sweet southern charmer.   I had a great morning in the studio when I was allowed to "highjack" this adorable newborn for a few photos.  Thank you, DiAnna, for the opportunity!  These are a couple of my favorite shots.

It's been awhile, but I'm so happy to be posting here again and pleased to start with these photos from the Smith's family portrait session recently.  What an adorable family and such a pleasure to work with.  Little Miss A is a born model with lots of personality and drama.  

Southern Engagement - Katie & Matt

I've been waiting until after Christmas to post a few pictures from Katie & Matt's engagement session, and I'm so glad I can share them now.  The weather was beautiful, and Katie & Matt were absolutely wonderful to work with!  They will be getting married in 2011 and I wish them the very best!!

Southern Sweethearts - Audrey & James

Audrey is my daughter's "bestie", and I am so excited to be taking photos of this adorable couple.  Do couples even call themselves "sweethearts" anymore?   Well, these sweethearts are engaged to be married in the Spring, and I'm predicting a beautiful wedding!!  Congratulations Audrey & James!!

Southern Balloons - Gulf Coast Hot Air Balloon Festival

"Hot" was definitely the key word for the Gulf Coast Hot Air Balloon Festival this past weekend in Foley, Alabama. 

  In spite of temperatures rising to the upper 90's on Saturday, everyone enjoyed the balloons (over 40 participated), 

the World-Famous Frisbee Dogs, the great food, excellent vendors.... by golly, it was just FUN!!!

The balloons flew in about 6:00 AM on Saturday morning to try and hit a target on the field.   

 (Yes, I got up at 4:00 AM for this!)

The World-Famous Frisbee Dogs were very entertaining... and energetic!!



Came back out to the festival Saturday afternoon where I hoped to see another fly-in
 and the evening balloon glow.  Unfortunately, we had some nasty-looking clouds moving in from 
the north and the pilots decided not to risk a fly-in.  Only three of the balloons 
 inflated and participated in that evening's glow.
